Categories of ISA Membership

ISA has several different membership categories, each designed to meet the needs of arborists at different points during their career.

Available Membership Categories

Professional ($135.00): Open to all individuals actively engaged in the arboriculture field and anyone interested in planting or preserving trees.

Student: Students can join the ISA as a Student Member for free when they join their local chapter either at the chapter or through the ISA webstore. Students who live in a region without a chapter may join ISA as a Student Member for $30. To qualify for ISA Student Membership, you must be a high school, undergraduate, or graduate student approved for membership in your local chapter or have proof of enrollment in at least six academic hours of coursework within the next six months. Students joining through the ISA webstore will have an opportunity to provide the enrollment information as part of the online application process.

Senior ($70.00): Limited to retired members who have been professional members in good standing for at least ten preceding years, are 62 or older and submit in writing their desire to enter inactive service.

Associate Member ($70.00): Associate Membership is offered to individuals whose country/province of residence does not use English as the official language. Since ISA membership benefits may not provide their fully-intended value for Associate Members due to a language barrier, this membership fee is reduced.
(Please note that ISA Associate Members are not eligible to hold an ISA-elected office or vote in ISA Board of Directors elections.)

Additional Support

Patron Program: The Patron program offers three levels of support providing companies with a chance to show their support of other professionals in the industry, as well as, industry and public education initiatives. All levels of Patron support include one or more complimentary ISA memberships, allowing you to introduce others to the world of arboriculture, including students. You may download the Application to learn about detailed benefits of the program or contact for more information.
